Not a hotel conference room feel.

Understated Victorian elegance and luxury is yours to enjoy in this completely renovated historic venue. Picture the perfect juxtaposition of linens and crystal against a backdrop of exposed beams, brick and stone with light flooding in from the third floor windows on both sides of the building.

We have three distinct rooms that flow from one to the other, giving the layout character to make your event unique.

about our venue

We embrace the gracefully weathered aesthetic of this original 1880 building in the beautiful city of St Paul, MN.

Nestled in historic Lowertown, Earl & Wilson is at the corner of 7th Street and Wacouta Street. Located on the third floor, above Dark Horse Restaurant and Barrel Theory Brewery. We're a stone's throw from Mears Park and a short walk from the Saints Stadium and the infamous
St. Paul Farmer's Market.

Walk into Earl & Wilson and you walk into a page out of history. The first thing you will see is the painted wall that says, "Earl & Wilson's Collar and Cuffs. It's the original billboard painted on the outside of the first building on the site. We uncovered it during renovations and it's still in its original state from 1880. Remarkable. So much so that we named the Event Center after it.

Twenty years later another building was put up alongside the first. With windows on either end of the long room, it mimics the first building. We've kept the original brick walls and taken down the false ceiling to showcase the amazing and original Douglas Fir wood beams.

Walk through the space, visualizing all the tables set up for your reception. With the wall to wall wood flooring you can lay things out any number of ways and still have room for a dance floor!

Step through the doorway into a sumptuous lounge with velvet furniture, high top tables and generous crystal chandeliers. Here your guests can charge their cell phones, take a break from dancing, have a quieter conversation or use the amenities in the well-appointed restrooms.

Back

Off the end of the Lounge is the Catering Kitchen, fully equipped to make service for your event a breeze.

Walk through the next doorway and you are looking at 1880's wood beam ceilings and original stack stone walls with large windows on either end. We think it's the perfect setting for a ceremony. Getting married elsewhere? We also love the idea of using the whole room as a dance floor!

There is a back stairwell that leads to and from the Bride and Groom's Ready Rooms. Bride side gets five lighted makeup mirrors, tables and salon chairs, gorgeous lounge furniture, an original stack stone wall and an antique vanity that make for great photo op areas, a buffet for catered-in snacks, a closet for bag storage, and a 3/4 bathroom. With light colored appointments and eight windows, it's a dream.

The Groom's Ready Room is men's-club feeling with rich colors, leather furniture, big screen TV, foosball table, buffet for catered-in snacks, dining table, pub table, an original stack stone wall for photo ops and windows to bring in some light. With all this at hand, waiting for the girls to get ready is stress-free.
